Getting certificates in practice

Knowing how a chain validates is half the story; the other half is getting the certificates in the first place — from a Certificate Authority, via ACME/Let's Encrypt, or a private CA for internal traffic. This is a judgement module: which strategy fits which situation.
This platform is its own worked example — it serves HTTPS with Let's Encrypt certificates via Tailscale (ADR-027) — so the trade-offs here are the ones the project actually made.
