Épreuve blanche CE 2 : une heure, sans filet

P46.b2-reading.21 · Audience: guest, language-pro, it-ml

Unité CE-17 · campagne 15 · le deuxième match se joue à la montre.

Second timed reading run. Set your own timer for 60 minutes — the app deliberately shows no countdown — and treat everything below as one sitting: no dictionary, no pauses, no peeking at answers.

The budget is the one you rehearsed in CE-13, with one upgrade: the order of the two texts is decided before the clock starts, not during. If argumentative texts are your stronger suit, open with them while fresh; if the informative text is your banker, bank it first. What killed run 1 for most candidates was not speed but the minute-twenty spent deciding mid-race.

  • 25 minutes — informative text.
  • 30 minutes — argumentative text.
  • 5 minutes — the citation re-read: at the DELF, a correct vrai/faux with a wrong or missing justification scores zero, so the final pass goes to citations, never to comfort answers.
  • The two-minute rule still stands: a resisting question gets a margin mark and you move on.

Score against the same bar as listening: 85 %. Then feed the journal — one line per miss, with its trap family — because the CE trap review (CE-18) is built from exactly those lines.

The set below mirrors the épreuve's diet on fresh terrain: a stated-detail question on memorial tourism in Normandy, a thesis question on the zéro artificialisation nette objective, a vrai/faux + justification mechanic on the French wool industry, and a cause-synthesis question on family caregivers and their little-known congé de proche aidant. When the hour ends, stop mid-sentence if you must — the honest number is the useful one.
