L'essai argumenté

The first DELF B2 production écrite genre: take a clear position on a debate and defend it in about 250 words. The examiners grade against descriptors, and the descriptors reward structure you can point at:

• an introduction that states the position (not "it's complicated");
• two or three developed arguments — each one claim + one development + one example, not five claims in a row;
• one objection acknowledged and answered (certes… mais, on objectera que…);
• connectors doing real work: d'abord, ensuite, en revanche, c'est pourquoi, en définitive;
• a conclusion that concludes — restating the position with its strongest reason, not opening a new topic.

Pick a subject, write, submit. The grader scores you against B2 descriptors with a model answer as reference, tells you what already works and what is missing, and your score feeds the PE axis in the weekly review. Aim for the pass bar, then aim past it.
