After the facts comes the sentence the whole letter exists for: the request. The B2 standard has a fixed grammar and a fixed anatomy.

The grammar: demander de + infinitif. « Je vous demande de procéder au remboursement intégral de ma commande sous quinze jours. » One verb naming one action (rembourser, indemniser, remplacer, réexaminer), a defined scope (intégral, de ma commande), and a deadline — the délai — that makes the request answerable: sous quinze jours, sous quinzaine.

The anti-model is twice broken: « Je veux que vous fassiez quelque chose pour ce problème rapidement. » First, register — je veux is a child's demand in a formal letter; the machine says je vous demande de, or the very formal je vous saurais gré de bien vouloir… Second, precision — quelque chose names no action, rapidement fixes no date. A request no one can verify is a request no one has to satisfy.

Note the escalation ladder you now own: neutral (je vous demande de), polite plus (je vous prie de bien vouloir), administration-grade (je vous saurais gré de). Pick one rung and hold it; PE-09 adds the conditional and the consequence line beneath it.
