P49 · Pronouns: Choice & Placement
y, en, clitic order and placement
The pronoun system, written face first: which pronoun, where it goes, and the person/thing distinctions (penser à elle, j'y pense) that immersion never fixed — spoken production follows with the speech runtime.
Pronouns carry the second fossilized-error system: choices that sound fine in fast speech but are simply wrong, and stay wrong for years because nobody stops the conversation to fix them. P49 works through the decision tree — y for things against à + tonique for people (j'y pense, but je pense à elle), en for quantities and de-complements with the number restated (j'en ai deux), then lui/leur against the tonic forms and the clitic-order rules that keep long sentences correct.
The written face is live now: each unit isolates one fork in the tree and drills it until the choice is automatic. The spoken face — making these picks in real time — arrives with the speech runtime. Your results feed the error-category profile and the reminder deck, so the forks you still get wrong resurface until they hold.
