Before training comprehension, know the machine you will sit in front of. The DELF B2 listening épreuve is two recordings: a long one (~3 minutes — radio extract, interview or débat) played twice, and one or two short ones played once. The official script never changes: one minute to read the questions, first listening, three minutes to start answering, second listening, finish.

Three rules that convert directly into points:

1. The questions follow the document's order. Lost on question 4? Skip it and re-attach to the flow — the answer to question 5 is later in the audio, never earlier.
2. First listening = the grid, not the answers. Note three columns only: qui (who speaks), quoi (the subject), position (each speaker's stance). Complete sentences are a trap; your grid is telegraphic.
3. Second listening = targeted repair. You now know where each gap sits in the timeline; listen for those moments instead of re-processing everything.

The practice below drills the procedure itself — consignes, formats, the grid — because on exam day, familiarity with the machine is free marks.
